ABOUT

Tomas Mankovsky is a multifaceted creative with a strong foundation in both advertising and film. An alumnus of Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm, Tomas first made his mark with his exam project, Little Big Love - a short film that garnered multiple awards, including honors at the Stockholm International Film Festival, and earned him the Ung Svensk Form Scholarship as well as the Kycklingstipendiet for new talent at the Swedish Guldägget awards.

Following graduation, Tomas accepted a position at Fallon and moved to London.  Over the next several years, he conceived  award-winning campaigns for global brands such as Sony, Orange, Cadbury, and the BBC.  His creative work earned him recognition as a  ‘Young Gun’ by the Art Directors Club in New York and a ‘Creative Future’ by Creative Review.

Tomas’s passion for storytelling led him to expand his creative repertoire into directing, initially with the short film Sorry I’m Late, which became a viral sensation and was later featured in an Apple commercial. This marked the beginning of a diverse and ongoing career, where he seamlessly integrates his skills in creative direction, writing and directing.

His work spans commercials, screenplays, music videos, and short films, with multiple feature films and TV shows in development. Tomas’s writing has been recognized on THE BLACK LIST in US, ranking him among the top 1% of writers.

Tomas has directed for renowned brands such as Amazon, IKEA, Playstation, H&M, Nissan, O2, and T-Mobile, maintaining his strong roots in advertising while expanding into film and television.

Throughout his career, Tomas has earned over 25 prestigious awards, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio, Epica, BTAA, and Creative Circle honors. He has also served on the juries for D&AD, the Art Directors Club, and the Swedish Guldägget, among others, and is a member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA).

Now based in Portugal, where he relocated with his family after years in London and Los Angeles, Tomas continues to work worldwide.

When not traveling for work, he dedicates his time to developing a myriad of projects from his studio.
